Valencia poleman Casey Stoner was quickest out of the blocks in the MotoGP warmup session at the Spanish circuit, putting down a 1´32.844 lap onboard his Ducati Desmosedici GP8. The Australian was over half a second faster than anyone else on track, with fellow front row starters Dani Pedrosa and Nicky Hayden the nearest to his marker.

The Repsol Honda duo unveiled a classic white livery & leathers combination for raceday, although Hayden got his whites dirty with a crash during the session. The American is riding in his last race for the team this afternoon.

Tech 3 Yamaha´s Colin Edwards was, as on today´s grid, fourth in the warmup session, ahead of Valentino Rossi as the Italian went some way to finding a solution for his Saturday problems. Randy de Puniet, Alex de Angelis, Andrea Dovizioso, Shinya Nakano and Chris Vermeulen rounded off the top ten.
